Khaya Home Decor began over twenty years ago in charming Duncan, BC. Always a mecca for unique gifts and home decor, it became known as the place to find that one-of-a-kind item. Since being purchased by Interior Designer Debra Schulze in 2021, the store has now expanded to include lighting, furniture and an Interior Design service.

About Debra Schulze

Originally trained in Interior Design, I spent over 25 years working in high-end residential furniture in Alberta.  My experience is invaluable when working with clients and helping them to create the home of their dreams.  I have been fortunate enough to work on a wide variety of projects, from furnishing and adding accents to one room to designing 5000 sq. ft. Show Homes, a 13,000 sq. ft. private residence, and consulting on commercial projects in Montreal.  My personal style is simple and elegant with an emphasis on light, color and texture. I am excited to begin the next phase of my design career here on beautiful Vancouver Island.
